He wanted to move towards retirement in southern Europe, but the research kept him in Sweden

His goal was to take the first chance to move abroad and then move further south through research jobs to finally retire in a warmer climate. But for Gunnar Andersson, Professor of Demography, things turned out differently.

Open Position: PhD studentship in Sociological demography

The position is funded by a recently awarded Starting Grant from the European Research Council. Funding is available for four years, full-time, in addition to the costs of attending conferences and seminars, as well as advanced training in research methods.

All teaching and examination will be online via Zoom until January 17th 2021

All teaching at undergraduate level including exams at the Department of Sociology will be online via Zoom until January 17th 2021.
