British Society for Population Studies (BSPS)

The British Society for Population Studies (BSPS) is a non-profitable society of persons with a scientific interest in the study of human populations. Its main objectives are to further the scientific study of biological, economic, historical, medical, social and other disciplines connected with human populations and to contribute to the public awareness of them.


Centre for Population Change (CPC)

Centre for Population Change (CPC) is a research center based in the UK with the aim to understand the key drivers and implications of population change. It is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.




Swedish Demographic Association


The Swedish Demographic Association (SDF) is an organization for those who work with demographic questions as well as the general public who are interested in demographic issues. Anyone with an interest in such issues is welcome to be a member.



Stockholm University SIMSAM Node for Demographic Research (SUNDEM)

The project is administered at the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA), Department of Sociology, and coordinated by Professor Gunnar Andersson. It brings together researchers on migration and family dynamics from SUDA and the Department of Human Geography and involves collaboration with register researchers in other Nordic and European countries. The overarching goal is to produce research that exploits the unique qualities that only register data have. Read more here.
