By the end of 2018 the Swedish Initiative for Research on Microdata in the Social And Medical Sciences (SIMSAM), funded by the Swedish Research Council, has been active for 10 years. This was acknowledged by a one-day symposium in Stockholm on May 16th when participants met and reflected on the development of Swedish register-based research. During the day SIMSAM’s achievements and future was discussed as well as challenges and possibilities for register-based research. The symposium was organized by the SUNDEM and UGIR nodes of the SIMSAM network. Read more about SIMSAM here.
