The Lithuanian part of the research project Challenges to Welfare State Systems in Lithuania and Sweden has recieved funding and SPaDE-researchers are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with fellow collegues from the Lithuanian Social Research Center (LSTC). The project aims to explore the challenges, problems and future prospects of the pension and family support systems in Lithuania and Sweden. Special attention will be paid to the last ten years, over which the countries have experienced economic and financial crisis with different policy measures implemented to overcome the crisis. SPaDE fellows Livia Oláh, Gerda Neyer and Sunnee Billingsley are involved in the project from Sweden together with Professor Jolanta Aidukaite from LSTC.
